Crop, add text, rotate, adjust the color, apply filters, remove red eyes, you can do all that and more with the user friendly, GPU-powered photo editing software application Musemage. So if you need to change how an image looks or enhance an image’s looks, this Paraken Technology-developed tool is ideally suited for the job.

Musemage works with 32 as well as 64-bit Windows editions, anything from XP SP3 onward. To run Musemage without any problems, your Windows-powered PC must meet the following recommended system requirements: multi-core CPU, AMD APU/Radeon HD5000 series or newer, NVIDIA Geforce GT200 series or newer, 2GB of RAM memory, 1GB of graphics memory.
At the time of writing this there’s no Mac version, just the Windows Musemage version. The developer says that a Mac version is in the works and will be released soon.

By default, Musemage uses the Metro theme: the image you’re working on is presented in the main pane, previews of all the images in your Pictures folder are displayed at the bottom. Buttons for all the editing functions Musemage can perform are displayed at the top and on the right hand side. This type of layout is nice and easy to figure out; you should immediately feel at home with Musemage’s interface.

Musemage has a lot of editing functionality to offer: add text, erase, brush, blur, sharpen, mosaic, adjust the color, brightness, contrast and so on, remove red eyes, retouch skin, face lift, apply color effects, sharpen, add noise, add rain drops, add a frame, and more. You can access all these functions from the menu to the right on the application’s interface, from the buttons at the top, and from the menus in the upper left hand corner.

You can use Musemage for free for a trial period of 30 days. Any image you edit with the trial version will have a watermark on it.

Musemage provides easy access to lots of photo editing functions.

Pros

The recommended system requirements for running Musemage aren’t that high; the application works with 32 and 64-bit Windows editions. The user friendly interface isn’t hard to figure out. Musemage has lots of photo editing functions to offer.

Cons

Free to use for a 30-day evaluation period; puts a watermark on the edited image.
